Bush Steps provides Allied Health services to the people of Central Australia and surrounds. We are a registered NDIS provider and work with other funding bodies such as TIO, DVA and Transitional Care Packages (TCP).
Orthotics
An orthosis is a device that supports and corrects joints and bones in the body.
Bush Steps offers a wide range of bespoke and off the shelf orthotic devices to help increase your mobility. From a loss of balance following a stroke to a foot wound that requires space to heal, Bush Steps will work with you to ensure an optimal orthotic prescription is achieved.
Prosthetics
A prosthesis is a device that replaces a lost limb
Bush Steps appreciates the difficulty in limb loss and will work with you to ensure that your prosthesis enables you to safely work toward your goals and participate in the activities of your choosing.
Physiotherapy
Through physiotherapy we work with clients to improve their mobility, strength and function to achieve their goals and maximise independence and quality of life.
We work in a collaborative way with clients and their network of supports to provide a comprehensive and wholistic service.
Allied Health Assistance
Allied Health Assistants (AHA's) assist our Clinicians in providing quality allied heath services. You might see them work with our Physiotherapist, or helping clients with their programs.
AHA's are vital to helping our clients achieve their goals and improve function.

Our Physiotherapists work with all NDIS Clients, across Paediatrics and Adults, and are NDIS registered providers

Private Physiotherapy
Bush Steps can provide on-the-spot private health rebates for private health insurance.
Amputees and Prosthetics
Our Physiotherapists work closely with Prosthetists and a client's prosthetic - specialising in returning to walking and prosthetic rehabilitation
Respiratory Physiotherapy
We work with clients who have complex respiratory needs, including cough assist devices, suction, oxygen and other pressure assistance. 
Equipment Prescription
We prescribe mobility equipment including walking aids, transfer aids and standing frames. Our Physiotherapists are also able to prescribe non-complex wheelchairs.
Remote Outreach
Our Physiotherapists travel remotely across Central Australia and the Barkly.

Hydrotherapy is physiotherapy based in the pool.

Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in South Australia, Ngaanyatjarra (NG) Lands in Western Australia, Central Desert Communities (Yuendemu, Nyirripi), Urapuntja Homelands (Utopia, Ampilatwatja), MacDonnell Region (Hermannsburg, Areyonga, Papunya, Titjikala, Santa Teresa) and Tennant Creek and Ali Curung in the Barkly Region.
